Time to repaint the moto Guzzi mk2 black exhaust downpipes pipes and mufflers. After 4 years they had started to show rust on the welds & joints (plus here and there) which is usual. Wire wheel/brushed all the old paint & rust off ready for paint when it arrives. #motoguzzi #motoguzzilemans

Returning the Guzzi to original 1977 spec...swopped out the exhaust down pipes for a black one I picked up...much better!! It was a mess....It’s the last thing after: New coils, distributor back to points, brake cables all round, front and back light stems and housing ( they were Suzuki...) toy town handlebar switches, seat. #motoguzzilemans #motoguzzilemans1 #guzzi

The sash was nailed & caulked in so was a bugger to remove. Cut out all rotten timber and replaced 50% of the bottom rail with hard wood. Used Repair-care dry flex (that’s the Green stuff in the photos, it’s a two part epoxy ) as it expands & shrinks the same as timber, should be good for years. #sashwindows #sashwindow #timberwindowrepair #repair-care #dryflex #dryflex16

Cut out the cill and replaced. Timber yards are shut so I laminated (glued together 5 sections of hard wood timber) I had in the studio to make the cill, machined to the correct profile, turned out ok. Used Repair-care dry flex as it expands the same as timber does & it forms well around junctions between cill & parting beads/side jamb, should be good for years. , #sashwindows #sashwindow #timberwindowrepair #repair-care #dryflex #dryflex16

Isolation means DIY time and the restoration of the Victorian sash windows. This is the worst that had been repaired with Ronseal two part epoxy that doesn’t expand with the timber do splits the paint and allows water to penetrate, destroying the timber cill over the years, never looked that bad until I tested it. Must admit I haven’t worked on these for a along time. Removed all decade timber from sash & then removed it to repair. Cut out the cill and replaced. Timber yards are shut so I laminated (glued together 5 sections of hard wood timber I had in the studio to make the cill, turned out ok. Used Repair-care dry flex as it expands the same as timber does so should be good for years. #sashwindows #sashwindow #timberwindowrepair #repair-care #dryflex #dryflex16

If you’re fed up with Boris’s lies do something positive...look up your local Labour Party canvassing and spend 2 hours helping today/tomorrow or any day up to polling day. Ordinary people can change things. No experience needed, just your positive energy! events.labour.org.uk #labour #positive outlook #vfoxcroft #kierstarmer

It works!! After 3 months of my spare time..this 70 year old motor is working! Maiden voyage...3 miles in London...great. petrol cap came off and added a bit of history to the paint work (and cap is lost)- covered the new tank paint work in petrol (bad) but it works. Update: Walked the route again that i travelled yesterday, after the school run as lots of cars would have moved & half a mile from home Guess what I found in the gutter? only a 70 year old cap- a bit battered but it’s my cap. Cap sorted. Second test ride - there was a pop....no power...took some finding but it was the cylinder head original (Britax) “new gasket” part had blown a 2mm section.....back to the drawing board...hand made copper gasket sometime next week....lol B9327E57-71A5-41B6-A7A9-03A4731FD038.jpeg. #trojan #Trojan mini motor #2 stroke engine #cylcemotor #cyclemaster #trojanminimotor
