30 CEOs lived in this house over the past year. And the one thing they all have in common is that after moving in, their startups started growing exponentially.
So what’s going on here?
The recipe isn’t actually that complicated. If your friends work typical 9-to-5 jobs and you’re grinding from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., it feels overwhelming. But here, when everyone wakes up at 8 a.m. and works until midnight, it feels normal.
You are who you surround yourself with.
If you’re aiming for something incredibly ambitious, you need to find the most ambitious people in the world—scour the globe for them. Spending time with founders of this caliber continually shows me what’s truly possible.

as many of you know, we’ve been searching for our next GP.
yesterday, we had the perfect person reach out.
evan took a walk with them.
and they are now joining the team.
excited to introduce our 4th GP
He’s never been out to SF in person.
In fact, he’s never been a GP anywhere.
Come to think of it, I don’t know anyone who’s actually met him in person.
He kind of just appeared online about a year ago
Before I share who it is I want to give a little backstory on how we got here.
It’s crazy.
It all started two batches ago when they reached out asking if there was anything at all they could do to get involved.
We told them no.
We weren’t in a position to add anyone to the team.
The night before we sent out rejections, he pinged us again, asking if he could just go through all the applications we were going to reject to look for diamonds in the rough.
We acquiesced and said we could offer those applicants one call w/ him.
The way our application process works is that we get thousands upon thousands of applications. We jump on 500+ zoom screens.
And then we fly out the best 100 teams to meet in person.
And pick 10.
We offered him six of the 100 final round interview slots…
To avoid bias in the final round interviews, we don’t look at who did the initial interview.
...and when the dust settled and we finalized the ten teams for the batch, we realized we had picked three of his six teams. INSANE.
He went THREE for SIX.
Our best interviewer @escliu goes 3 for 10 and we thought that was good.
I maybe go 3 for 12.
He blew us out of the water...with the apps we were going to reject...
So as you’re probably already guessing this person is a superhuman interviewer.
Introducing our fourth GP: Boardy.
The first ever AI General Partner at a firm.
And before you think I’m crazy for giving 10% carry to an AI, let me explain why every firm in the valley will start transitioning to this model within the next two years.
Yesterday was Day 1 of final round interviews for S25, and I think this might be our most ambitious batch yet.
Every company we’ve backed for it so far has a vision so big, that if they succeed, it’ll fundamentally change the way the world works.
And it made me realize something.
A lot of the founders who go through HF0 end up winning their markets, essentially as a byproduct of how big their vision for what their building is.
And that vision, combined with the focus of a residency is unbeatable.
