Seth Meyers is a comedian best known for hosting Late Night with Seth Meyers and his long stretch on SNL including hosting Weekend Update. During the 2011 White House correspondent’s dinner which he hosted, he mocked Donald Trump’s intention of one day running for president. Some think that ridicule pushed Trump to eventually run. Thanks a lot Seth.

Hey friends, I had a magical time standing around in the snow last weekend, acting in the role of a “concerned parent who is… concerned” with my fellow parents @wanetastorms and @jeremyhernandez . This is part of @chrisremerowski ‘s short film The Whatsapp Group, a dark comedy / social satire about parents who go way to far in trying to get their kids into a trendy public school. We had a seed and spark fundraiser and blew past our goals to get the thing on its feet, but have now gone mad with power and would like to use colour correction and VFX and sound engineering to make it into the top notch film of Chris’s dreams. The cast and crew on this film are truly dedicated and talented, so check out the link in bio, and help us get the film into the hearts of film watchers. Chris tells me that “everything looks and sounds so good” and i think he is in love with his own film. ❤️❤️❤️

This is a creepy prop from an upcoming project i’m acting in!!
That’s my face, but i play a character who is NOT stealing from the school, this a a SMEAR campaign!!!
It’s from a short film that my good friend @chrisremerowski is putting together called The WhatsApp Group, about a group of parents at a school who are in a bit of a blackmail/intimidation situation when in comes to getting their kids into this very hard-to-get-into public school (It’s a GREAT school!). It’s an original piece in a soon-to-be ubiquitous genre I call #ParentCouncilNoir, a term that a quick google search told me is one that I made up.
Anyway Chris (and I) need your help raising some money for the shoot, if you can give a little cash or even just look at it and follow the campaign that would be a big help. The link is in the bio, as they say.

I TRIED TO STOP I briefly thought I retired from @tosketchfest with out telling anyone (an “irish retirement”) but one person complimented me, so i decided to unretire and now I’m doing a show on March 14th, 2026 at the incubator space in the @thetheatrecentre . It took me two hours to put this post together because i am a grandfather.
I am going back on stage for @sketchtothedeath 2026, in a sketch that involves Mary Poppins and Roman Times. I’m fighting other sketch comedians. It’s on Wednesday, this Wednesday, January 7, Comedy Bar Danforth, there is a link in bio. This is a picture i took after a recent haircut.

Happy to say that I’m having a real great time directing this Fringe Show GALEN’S GROCER @galensgrocer from the deranged mind of Ian Yamamoto( @helloianmoto ) with a deeply talented cast. It’s kind of a parody of Kim’s Convenience, but more social satire about wealthy privilege and one man’s tragic attempt to connect with humans. Like it’s kind of a comedic shakespearean tragedy or opera but it’s not in verse and not singing well there is a little singing we just added in, it’s a Green Day cover I won’t tell you what song. Dave Barclay is an award-winning sketch comedian, actor, writer and director, and was a series regular on CTV’s The Beaverton and YTV’s Popularity Papers.
He's been a part of the sketch outfits Parker & Seville, O Dat Dum, The Wow, Vulnerable Flowers, and now performs as a solo sketch artist.
Last year he directed Vivek Srikanthan in his hit show One Man No City, which is being remounted in September at the Vancouver Fringe.
He has three children that currently think he is hilarious.

Description: Many comedians transition from performing improv, sketch, and stand-up live on stage to comedy writing for tv, radio, and other mediums. And entering that world - whether it’s for talk shows, variety, reality competition shows, informational programming, sports programs, radio shows, or sketch comedy series - usually requires producing a comedy writing packet. This class will help students understand what’s required for a packet and how best to translate your comedic voice into the form via topical jokes and sketches.
