𝗔𝗟𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨’𝗥𝗘 𝗗𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗛 𝗔 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗕𝗜𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗢 𝗠𝗬 𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 @𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗸. Running out of ways to describe his goated-ness here but we’re forever lucky as a musical culture to have him as a leader and a trailblazer, I’m the forever blessed to have him as a partner in life working our hardest to pay homage to our musical heroes, and like I’ve said before, DMVs on both coasts are forever #accountable for giving this man a driver’s license (you think he’s a menace behind the wheels of steel wait till you see him behind a steering wheel). I’m terrible at recaps so here’s some loosies from the last months including MY GYM FITS WHICH YOU LIKE BETTER THAN MY REAL FITS ANYWAY. Happy new year!
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲.
After years of scaling up, up, up from tour to tour, it felt cool to take a moment and scale down. Minimal production, intimate venues — an actual replica of our 2008 stage (ok we had to re-make the neon and refurbish the legs) in the same venues we played when Fancy Footwork came out. And barely any phones out!
Fancy Footwork changed our lives…and it seems it holds a special place for a lot of you. More than an album, it was a special moment in time (cue the “2014 in Williamsburg” meme.) And more than a moment in time, it was a moment on the internet: full of hope, connectivity and discovery…chaos (the good kind) and piracy — before the evil alg*r*thm. We owe our career to that (HypeM! Limewire! Kazaa!)
Playing these six shows makes me want to do more of this format in coming years…and maybe for other albums too! Moreover, it ended our year on a high note and gave us just the right boost to get back in the lab in January and finish all the new tunes we’re got cookin’. New music next year.

2 weeks in sunny/weird Burbank prepping 6 shows where we play the 11 songs from our 2nd album in order (and then some) we don’t make 1 dime this is all for the legacy the love of the game and most of all our love for the fans who’ve been rocking wish us for 2 decades.
