I had the honor of meeting and speaking with the guy who is now leading the Rejuvenation Olympics Leaderboard in the #1 position, Mr Siim Land!
Siim had done an earlier episode for his channel where he reviewed my supplement protocol and even offered a few suggestions as improvements, which I had since taken to heart. So it was fun to sit down and geek-out a little over our mutual fascination with longevity science and our perspectives on the field.
It's not every day that you get to sit with one of your heroes and have a chat. But yesterday, I got to sit with the one and only Ben Greenfield to be interviewed for his podcast.
Ben was a very gracious host and a super chill guy. I knew a few of his questions in advance, but he kept me on my toes by asking a few I was completely unprepared for! đ
It was both thrilling and terrifying! đ¤Ł
Ben was just so darn cool that I caught myself actually relaxing a few times because, after all, we were just two dudes having a conversation about things we share in common. But the entire time, my monkey mind kept chattering, "Do you realize this is Ben Freakin' Greenfield??" đđ¤Ł
It was yet another out-of-body experience for me, because I don't remember a single thing I said, but you'll know before I do, because I'm told our episode will drop next month on the day I'm due to summit Kilimanjaro!
I guess I'll hear it when I get home! đ
Stress doesnât stay in one system. It moves through the entire body.
When stress becomes chronic, it doesnât just affect mood â it disrupts cellular energy, nervous system signaling, and the brainâs ability to recover. Over time, this cascade can lead to fatigue, brain fog, and mental burnout.
In this panel, experts explore how modern life keeps the body locked in survival mode â and why recovery often stops working when the system stays constantly activated.
Together, theyâll unpack the link between cellular fatigue, nervous system overload, and cognitive resilience, and discuss emerging approaches that help restore balance from the inside out.
Because in a high-stress world, resilience isnât optional â itâs biological.

đď¸New episode #51 of Not Alone with Melissa-Sue Methven with Dave Pascoe.
This podcast was built in pure surrender.
A calling to share conversations that bring hope, inspiration, and guidance â or simply remind you that you are not alone.
Iâve always had a deep curiosity about the body, health, and prevention. From a young age I studied how the body works â physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Thatâs why I loved this conversation with Dave, who studies longevity, inflammation, and health biomarkers as a biohacker.
One powerful realization we discussed:
Sometimes more effort is not the answer.
For years I believed if I just worked out harder or more often, I would be healthier.
But intense exercise is also a stressor on the body.
If your body is already under stress â emotionally, hormonally, or metabolically â adding more stress can sometimes slow your progress.
Thatâs why learning to listen to your body is so important.
Some days the body may need:
⢠strength training
⢠a walk in nature
⢠yoga
⢠meditation
⢠breathwork
⢠stillness
True health is not black and white.
It is harmony.
In my book Gut God Connection, I talk about moving away from rigid protocols and learning to reconnect with your inner guidance for health.
Because caring for our bodies â our temple â is one of the most important responsibilities we have.
Mind. Body. Spirit.
And remembering that you are never truly alone.

Biohacking doesnât have to start with expensive protocols.
Some of the most powerful things you can do for your body are free.
Dave and I talked about the true foundations of health:
⢠Quality sleep
⢠Reducing toxins in food, water, and personal care
⢠Avoiding highly processed foods, dyes, and seed oils
⢠Breathwork, meditation, stillness, journaling
⢠Time in nature
Our bodies were designed to repair and detox â but modern life exposes us to far more toxins than our ancestors faced.
This is where optimization tools can also help.
Things like hyperbaric oxygen therapy, red light therapy, peptides, and other emerging therapies can support the body in repairing and clearing the toxic load we face daily.
Itâs not either/or.
Itâs foundations + science + mind-body awareness.

⨠Episode 51 LIVE with Dave Pascoe đď¸
What if one of the most powerful longevity tools isnât another supplementâŚ
but learning how to slow down?
Dave is 62 years old, yet many of his biological markers measure closer to the late 30s.
When he started tracking his health, something surprising happened.
Even while doing all the ârightâ things â supplements, protocols, training for a marathon â his biomarkers showed he was aging faster.
So he asked why.
The answer wasnât diet.
It was stress.
At the time he was caring for two sick parents, working constantly, always in âgo mode.â His body was stuck in fight-or-flight, and inflammation began to rise.
This hit home for me.
After my husband passed, I spent months in survival mode handling everything that needed to be done. But deep down I knew that pace couldnât last. My body needed safety again.
So when I moved to Arizona, I slowed down.
More time in prayer.
More time in nature.
More stillness.
And something amazing happened â the more I slowed down, the more life began to flow.
We live in a culture that celebrates busyness, but our bodies were not designed for constant urgency.
Even Jesus Christ stepped away into the mountains for stillness.
Stillness is not laziness.
Stillness is restoration.
Today I invite you to take a few minutes:
breathe, step outside, sit quietly, and let your nervous system settle.
Your body â and your longevity â may depend on it.
