around May 14th circa 12:30 am (when all my favorite ideas seem to come) i envisioned taking as many of the 200+ bikini model volunteers from the @doublestandard.nyc audience to as we could manage.. and turning them into beautiful, spicy, double standard mermaids. We’d create a yearbook-style Photo Booth and capture their unique personalities with yearbook-style superlatives. By May 28th, with the help of @ola__wilk (what a treat you were down for this ambitious plan!!), my living room was transformed into Mermaid HQ we brought this idea to life!
Though this will probably be the last non-shoe product I launch for @doublestandard.nyc for the foreseeable future, the Mermaid Bimini Pro campaign is by far my favorite campaign to date because it feels so true to what I double standard represents to me : 1) Fantasies are worth taking seriously. 2) creating and celebrating each other gives us our superpowers 🌸

Pt. 2 🌸 when @jmorelphoto hit me up to shoot, the project was to show my personality through my wardrobe. By the time we were done, the story was told through not just that, but through my spaces at home and of course my bb @doublestandard.nyc . By seeing all of the little things I’ve made over the years amalgamate together in each different room, the sometimes-chaotic story of my different sides finally started to make sense. here’s one of them (more to follow tee hee) ♥️ thank you jaques for the most delightful project 🌸
