“Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turn’s denial into acceptance. Chaos into order. Confusion into clarity … It makes sense of our past. Brings peace for our today and creates a vision for tomorrow”!

Things have a beautiful way of coming full circle🌸
This April has been a whirlwind of “yes,” and being featured in the @nytimes “Look of the Week” is a beautiful way to wrap up my namesake month.
The most special part? This Harlem street style moment was captured by the wonderful @simbarashecha - He photographed me back in 2020 for an article about activism, and having his lens on me again was a joy and a gift.
This time, I ran into Simbarashe while catching up with my style hero @datstyledawglou at @haberdasherynyc
If you look closely at the write-up, you might spot a little sparkle on my hand that represents another reason this month has been so transformative... but more on that later. ✨
For now, I’m soaking up the pastels and the love and radiating gratitude in a time where we need to celebrate anything and everything good in our lives. 🩷

Weird intentions
and behavior will irritate you.
And that’s real.
Im learning not to let how people move control how I respond.
Because if we being honest… Some of y’all not wrong it’s just how you just reacting. And your reaction?
That’s what gets you in trouble.
The Bible says…
“Be slow to anger…” — James 1:19
“Be angry, and sin not…” — Ephesians 4:26
So yeah, Feel it… but don’t let it take over.
Control your response.
The annual MMPCIA Community Stoop Sale will be back in full swing this year, and it's looking like it will be bigger than ever. It's time to clear out that storage space, declutter, and share the love you've collected over the years.
THE MORE THE MERRIER
Last year we had 67 homes participating, and we're expecting to have 100 participating homes in this year's event. Please be sure to REGISTER YOUR STOOP as early as possible so that we know how many homes we can count on.
You can find the registration page here, or follow the QR code in the image above. This year's event will feature a $25 registration fee for participating homes, instead of collecting a percentage of sales. Collecting the fee ahead of time will allow us to market the event more widely and drive foot traffic in the neighborhood on the day of the sale.
SPREAD THE WORD
It's more fun to do this as a group, so talk to your neighbors and try to get them to sign up. Invite your friends from out of the area to sell at your stoop.
