bits & pieces of japan — pt.8 [LAST STOP 🛑]
Fukuoka was truly a foodie heaven—had our tummies and souls filled to the brim; the ham skewer was unforgettable (slide 4), and of course, a mandatory stop at the region’s staple ramen shop: Shin Ramen (slide 8) is out of the question
bits & pieces of japan — pt.7
Naoshima was truly a wanderlust’s dream come true—full of art experiences that can easily be explored within one day with a bike (we got the ultimate Japan summer’s experience of biking under the heat thanks to that) + met a furry friend just right outside one of the island’s museum 🐾 and ending the day with humble yet filling grilled fish set meal at a local’s restaurant
bits & pieces of japan — pt.6
A lil adventure to Teshima Island: basking in the quiet coexistence of nature and art, had some sweet bites at the museum’s cafe, and catching some pink sunset by the beach just before our ferry departure
bits & pieces of japan — pt.5
last day in Kyoto: paid a visit to Kifune Shrine + enjoyed the kawadoko experience at Hyoue Cafe (a summer exclusive!) — oh, and I had probably one of the most filling ramen meal set in my life 🤤 and got to see a pink sunset as well 🌅
bits & pieces of japan — pt.4
a day trip to Ine, got hit by a brief pouring rain, met some seagulls, and getting a sneak peek of the rural side of Japan
bits & pieces of japan — pt.3
temple hunting in Kyoto, met some new friends, ethereal scenic greeneries, and endless battle with the Japanese summer heat
p.s. wearing my amazing custom press on nails by @hotnailsummer
bits & pieces of japan — pt.2
still in Kanazawa, had the opportunity to see the iconic Leandro Erlich’s “Swimming Pool,” and went back for our second/last round of the best curry we ever tasted
oh, and we apparently stumbled upon an oktoberfest?! super random but the vibe is up
