Iām 30 years old today. Iāve reached the conclusion that living is just the endless practice of surrender, again and again, every year, every day, until I find a way to be fully present and appreciate what a gift it is just to be alive. the more I want everything immediately, the further everything runs from me. delay is temporary, suck is forever, and forced sucks always.
beginning a new decade finally feels cathartic. Iām giving the last ten years a gentle kiss goodbye and sending them into the wind. in reality it means nothing, and I will feel the same as I did yesterday. but I appreciate any opportunity to slough off the old stuff and welcome the new. it comes slowly. itās passing by.
it was my first time back at coachella in 10 years. much has changed but the vibes remain the same. how cringe that I almost forgot what a precious gift it is to dance in the wind with the people you love most. thereās dust seeping out of my lungs as I type these words to you at home in the bath with a renewed sense of joy. enjoy and savor your life, nerds
