Current Resonance turned the idea of work inside out in an absurd, sweat-drenched performance that pulled the audience into a hard-pumped ritual of labour β Marta Bo
@seismografmag

Niels Lyhne LΓΈkkegaard & Remember Sound (comprising composers and musicians Niklas Brandenhoff and Dylan Richards) invite you to the grand opening of The Bakery, Saturday 30/11 at 11.00 AM at 5E.
Structured as a long chain rondo that takes on different forms, the pop-up bakery will be open for approximately 5 hours, and stretch between a bakery, a conversation salon, listening games, and new music in trio format. Amongst other things, you will be served homemade cakes and waffles in an attempt to create situations that might suggest other ways of being together than what is often the case when a new work is premiered.β¨β¨The episodes will vary in content but have roughly the same length throughout the day. Among the episodes, one can experience βStop - Waffle Time!β, βThe Soft dβ, βSounding Coconut Macaroonsβ, βSights and sounds in ophthalmologyβ, βSoftening for saxophone (performed by Niels Lyhne and special guest; James Black)β and βOverhead (soft) Clapping Piece.ββ¨β¨Through the day, the trio tries to establish a softer place that is not fully baked into a fixed artistic form β a bakery that might suggest ways out of the separation of disciplines and soften the boundaries between the audience and performer, and between the performers themselves. A key concept related to the work is reconciliation β The Bakery explores how, through the softening of the hard, we might reconcile with traumas and perhaps build bridges, friendships, and create changes across previous conflicts, divisions, privileges, and structural conditions (also in the environments surrounding new music in Denmark).
COMPOSITE by Dylan Richards for MINU 2023
A collaboration between Dylan Richards and Lorenzo Colombo that encircles the vectors and implications of the βcompositeβ.
A series of forays into in the communion between the composer and performer, the bifurcated nature of the contemporary psyche, financial instrumentation, ocularity, the politics of mimesis, virtual spaces, and material intelligence.
Reactions to recursive recreations of selves, both past and present.
