Last week, our safe and intimate space brought together Filipinos across generations to voice the silent struggles: the expectations, misunderstandings, and unspoken sacrifices experienced in between cultures. Moderated by psychotherapist Mag. Dearly Scholz and mental health advocate Ryan Noel @dasryno , we wove together stories of “mano po,” language, family traditions, and the emotional impact of heritage and identity.
It wasn’t just a talk: it became a space of recognition. In naming the invisible hurts, the community found connection, resilience, and a spark of healing. Stories held in silence for so long were finally heard.
A 2-hour discussion was clearly not enough for all the topics, so we are working on making this a regular event series. We'll keep you posted!
