Peer-reviewed studies have shown dancing increases happiness by approx. 97% (source: trust me bro).

Babe, wake up, new Substack essay just dropped!
In which I explore some of the reasons why people feel nostalgic for a certain kind of authoritarian past.
I draw parallels between Iran and the DRC and look into how nostalgia can emerge out of political disappointment.
In the case of the DRC, one could argue that the democratic transition has been such a slow grind that many have started looking in the rear-view mirror. I perceived a similar sentiment reflected in the Iranian discourse.
Not a particularly happy read but I hope you enjoy.
And as always, consider becoming a subscriber.
New week, new lessons learned!
Do you struggle with any of these? If so, which ones? Confess in the comments.
Also, new Substack essay coming out this week.
Let's go.
"I believe that one can never leave home. I believe that one carries the shadows, the dreams, the fears and the dragons of home under one's skin, at the extreme corners of one's eyes and possibly in the gristle of the earlobe." Maya Angelou
In my essay titled "Home" I write about how we create our own personal sense of belonging. It was the first piece I wrote on Substack and I'm glad it resonated with so many of you.
Head over to my bio to read it in full.
