I’ve made so many friends through basketball. When you share a love for a team sport, it often opens the door to other shared interests and values. There’s also the physical fulfilment — running, competing and staying active feels good, and plays a huge role in keeping me healthy, energised and feeling young.

I wrote the track in a single weekend, inspired by listening to a Sammy Virji set, I wanted to make something soulful with high energy. A feel good track!
I was writing a different track at the time, and I sampled myself, cutting vocal phrases and synths into tiny snippets and built it from there. I used AI to change the lyrics from what they started as and add a huge choral effect to the backing vocals. I changed the lyric from “Destiny” to “Bethany” which is the name of my youngest child, as a playful nod of being “over” those early years of being woken up in the middle of the night 😃
