One Last Dance at Dark Nectar I was going to start this by apologizing for being so sappy and mushy but I’m not going to. I mean every word of this and I am not ashamed at all to say it. This one hurts. This has been my home in the scene for the last three years of my life. I’ve met so many incredible people, had so many wonderful times and heard some damn good music here. Dark Nectar truly was the people’s venue. Truly open to everyone, both in terms of the performers and the crowd. even if your wallet was tight, even if your shit was a little out there, Dark Nectar had you. I would be an entirely different person today were it not for this place and I mean that in the sincerest way possible. My first show was here. A friend of mine put it best when they said a whole new world was opened up for them. That’s how it felt. I knew none of this even existed before then and now it’s my whole life. I live for music because of this place. And for that I cannot thank you enough. Thank you to everyone who’s made this place so special, the bartenders, the bands, the promoters, the crowd but most of all I want to thank Tyler. None of this would exist without you, you built this place from the ground up in fucking Atascadero of all places.
