A special one for @leonbridges , made together with @pullmannova . We joined Leon at one of his shows, going in without a clear plan. We just observed and let the experience guide us. I love commercial projects that are meticulously planned, but these spontaneous adventures hold a special place in my heart because they’re how I got into this game in the first place. Excited to share this special project. After working together for a bit, @eefjedevisser and I quickly realized we like the same things creatively, so working on this felt like a true breeze. In this project our visions came together very organically, making this such a special one for me. Eefje is incredibly talented, not just musically, but in envisioning her whole creative world and style. Feeling grateful I can work with talented and creative people that have such a unique and own way of expressing themselves. After shooting in the beautiful @gaeastudio_ I was physically exhausted, yet mentally completely charged. A reminder of how meaningful this work is to me. It is a form of expression, and the older I become, the more I am working on this form of expression to be built around genuine connections I make with the people I work with. Presenting some of my favorite moments from @naomisharon liveshow at Paradiso for the final stop of her 2025 European tour. This project was a special one, as I was joined by several of the same talented people from my very first collaboration with Naomi back in 2020. I directed this one using only in-camera effects to match the raw, incredible power of Naomi’s vocals. Naomi is one of the most incredible vocalists I know and have had the pleasure to work with, which made capturing this performance even more exciting. We went fully analog for Eefje’s latest music video. The song was written years ago, but only recently found its true shape. The first time I heard it, I knew it needed a visual world with an analog soul. Together with @eefjedevisser , we created a video that carries that retro warmth. At Lowlands this year I met up with @lisakorver_ and her friends and tagged along to see Chris Stussy together and capture Lisa her show. Presenting ‘Onomkeerbaar’, marking the beginning of chapter two in @eefjedevisser ’s double album Heimwee, set to be released later this year. For this project, Eefje drew inspiration from vintage workout videos. Together with everyone involved, we crafted a piece that pulses with retro energy and rhythm. this song on repeat, walking around, camera in hand. being fully present, observing to capture and capturing to observe. photography has always been a form of grounding for me. it’s about finding those fleeting moments where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. it has the quiet power to infuse a moment with nostalgia and a sense of mystery. noticing how light bends and reflects, what lines you can find, and to catch what subtle emotions are on display in everyday gestures. to me, it’s about preserving the impermanence of a moment, while inviting the viewer to linger in its liminality.
