Glory to the vanquished cities - In this painting, you can see the building where I grew up in Vaulx-en-Velin, shortly before it was demolished. In the foreground, you can see a figure of the city, holding a police helmet. I see it as an echo of battle pasts, of all that came before that dared to fight against oppression.
