*** NOW ACCEPTING COMMISSIONS*** It's been a while since I made an artwork just for myself. I came across K-Pop Demon Hunters while playing a movie in the background as I worked, which I often do. Slowly, the story drew me in, and the music really stood out. At some point, I thought, "Wait a minute, this one actually deserves my full attention." I called my wife and asked her to watch it with me. Needless to say, we both loved it. It's been a long time since a movie genuinely surprised me. I went into it with no expectations, if anything, I was pretty skeptical. The concept seemed like something that wouldn't work on paper, but I was pleasantly surprised, and we quickly became fans. I was also very happy to see my friend @wendelldalit on the credits. My wife asked me to make her the Derpy Tiger, so I paused all my other work. Three weeks later, here we are. Happy New Year, everyone! As we step into 2025, I wanted to reflect on a highlight from last year—an artwork we created and shipped to Disney, inspired by the iconic Lion King mask. This project was a true labor of love, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to bring it to life. Collaborations like this fuel my passion, and I hope to take on more exciting projects like this in the year ahead. On a personal note, I’ve realized it’s time to embrace change. Since the pandemic, I’ve found it difficult to go out and explore, but I’m ready to rediscover the world beyond my studio.
