I know that speaking about psychological disorders is probably not business savvy, but I’m feeling vulnerable and want to speak from the heart on why Dark Clawed was created. I have a boatload of diagnosed psychological disorders and I am a brain injury survivor. I’m neurospicy to the Nth degree.
A few months back, my therapist and I were trying to figure out some behavioral experiments to help block my automatic picking from my excoriation disorder. I had bad open wounds on my feet and I was suffering greatly but I was having a hard time stopping despite the pain. We were going through options to help create a barrier between my nails and my skin so I told him that when I used to wear gel x nails I would physically not be able to get an “edge” of skin lifted to pull. At this point I had been keeping my nails natural with just lacquer on them for several years. I really loved the ease of being able to change out my lacquer, so I decided I would revive my press on journey. I had amazing success in preventing my skin pulling so I kept making more and more press on sets.
I am a small gal (5’1”) and sooooo many press ons are so long on me. I wanted nails I could type with, nails that looked like natural nails, and nails that I could not pick in. Once I found the nails I loved and the products that made them look luxurious I knew I had to share them with the world: Dark Clawed was born.

Did you know I made smaller hair oils? They can be used on wet or dry hair and they don’t overwhelm my extremely fine hair that’s dry on the ends and oily on the top. The travel sizes come in a black 7ml dropper bottles and will last a LONG time since you only need a few drops on the mids and ends.
