SOUNDBYTE is fortunate to have @darbel as our featured chef for vol. 2. Dana’s cooking is intentional. It is prepared and shared with love. It uses fresh and local ingredients. For tomorrow’s event, she will offer a delicious menu that features a sweet and sour eggplant caponata, hummus with fluffy pita, an upside down apple cake, and so much more! We are SO pumped to announce our second musical act and Chef to be selected for SOUNDBYTE. And for those of you who are new to SOUNDBYTE, this is a local sound series that highlights Phx musicians and chefs & brings them together for an event that allows them to experiment, to be creative, to express themselves, & to get paid ⚡️ For this next installment, we will have a live set from Eon Grey and delicious food offerings from Dana Arbel at @stripmallphx on Sunday, Sept 21st. @eon.grey is a multi-genre musician and artist who expresses himself through singing, rapping, producing, poetry & film. He shares, “my music is my journal, my prayer, my escape, and my gift to the world.” Eon Grey will be performing a mostly acoustic set that will be raw, vulnerable, and magical. @trip_hazard_ash will kick us off with a special DJ set focused on records that highlight the intersection & convergence of genres…hip hop that samples jazz records, R & B with heavy gospel influences, neo-soul with deep funk ties etc. This month’s featured chef is Dana Arbel. @darbel is truly an artist with her culinary offerings…she creates delicious menus of foods that are nourishing, centered around local & fresh ingredients, and stunning. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with! Capacity is limited for this event so we strongly encourage you to get an early presale ticket for $12 if you want to check it out (which u do because it’ll be sick). You can DM any of us for a presale ticket & we will have limited tickets at the door for $15. This is an all ages event. This will be my last week making hummus to sell from home! (Exciting news to come 😛) Topped with a sweet and salty miso corn, with sides of fresh made amba (pickled mango sauce) and harissa (smoky & spicy chili sauce). Served with pickles and fresh pita. Get your orders in lovelies!! Pick up on Friday.

One of my favorite veggies this week, mushrooms! Creamy hummus topped with pan fried mushrooms. I am working on a hot sauce to go with (optional). Served with pillowy pita and pickles. $8 with mushrooms. Add an extra pita for $1. Pick up is Friday 12–1 and 530-630. Message me for orders!

Hummus of the week: Topped with roasted carrots in a garlic lemon sauce with fresh herbs and zataar. Harissa served on the side (spicy chili sauce). Comes with pita and pickles. Phoenix friends! I am beginning to offer weekly hummus to-go meals. Each week will feature a different topping. This week: masabacha. hummus topped with tehina and stewed chickpeas. Served with Iraqi style pita and pickles. Pick-up next Friday, May 15 at mi casa in central Phoenix $7 for hummus. Will also have sparkling mint lemonade for $2.50. If you’ve got little ones (12 and under) interested in yoga, today is the last day to sign up for class @phoenixcenterforthearts . . Students will learn and explore poses, chants, and breath techniques appropriate for their age and ability. We will learn the interesting stories behind the poses, while also benefiting from the relaxation of savasana! Yoga builds self awareness of body, mind, and spirit.
