Had a nice time today re-visiting @strangewaystattoo to add a bit more oil-based icing sugar to the fascia lettering that was already there in the form of a juicy block shade and a cast shadow. This was actually the original plan, but was decided against at the last minute when I painted it a few months back.
When they changed their mind and decided to add a bit more #sauce to the sign, it was nice for me to arrive on site and be able to find the original stabilo pencil marks up there, so I was able to just crack on.
All the work on the shopfront - including the windows - was directly laid out with a stabilo and a yardstick

Hello dear friends. Coops @dappersigns cremation will be on Monday 18th September at 8.30am. It is a closed cremation so no one can attend. But I know how dearly loved he was so you may want to light a candle or play a song to mark his final journey. I will be organising a celebration of his life soon dates TBC but will keep people posted. Lastly I would like to thank everyone for all the kindness and love for Coops, Billie-Marie and over the past two weeks. Even through the numbness I have felt that love and although my heart is completely shattered I know that love will help start putting it back together. Big love from Katie and Billie-Marie
DISTURBING THE COMFORTABLE, COMFORTING THE DISTURBED. Last week we wrapped up window signage for the iconic @boltlondon with this 1970’s inspired lettering from the one and only radical intellect that is @dappersigns who’s currently in his confinements and couldn’t undertake the work personally. A directionally burnished gold leaf outline, dirty sunk shadow and airbrushed flame effect brought Coops’s mad vision to reality. We also made a concrete embossed fascia sign to give an industrial and raw look to the new Bolt facade. The shop opened this weekend to an amazing reception. Andrew, the creative genius behind Bolt, designs and manufactures some very cool motorbike inspired clothing as well as putting on some wicked events. Recently, I was honoured to be asked by Andrew @boltlondon to design some eye catching window lettering for his new shop opening Shoreditch on the 25th May. Ash & Sarah @brilliantsigns in the trenches (while I lounged about at home in my slippers) did an absolutely tip-top, shit-hot job on this.
From the beautifully airbrushed highlights, to the gently tinted varnish interior shadows and directionally burnished gold leaf outlines, they don’t just make this shit look easy, they make it look goooooood.
Does this make me an Executive Signwriter? If so, I’m into it…

I’ve painted a step-by-step tutorial of how to paint chrome lettering that will be included in issue 4 of Blag Magazine, you lucky little chocolate eggs.
To celebrate the resurrection of our lord Jesus Christ, I’ve decided to launch a ridiculous competition. You can win yourself this trés sexy panel simply by leaving your favourite word that you can think of, whether it’s ‘Fruiterer’ (mine), ‘Serendipity’ or ‘Malteser’ (it really doesn’t matter how stupid or how clever it is) and tagging two other people (can be anybody) in the comments.
