As I look ahead to the 2027 elections, one thing weighs on my mind.
Will our young people know what kind of leadership to look for?
I just completed a course in “Leadership in Turbulent Times” at my Alma Mater, Harvard University — and the lessons couldn’t feel more urgent for this moment in Nigeria.
More than anything we need visionary leadership that is selfless. That is the standard of leadership these turbulent times demand.
But I fear that as 2027 approaches, too many young Nigerians will walk into that moment without a compass. Without knowing what real leadership looks like — or what to demand from those who seek their vote.
This is not about party. This is not about tribe.
This is about knowing that we all play a roles in the destiny of our country.
Study the candidates. Ask the hard questions. And when the time comes — show up. 🇳🇬
