@thecodespod : Gate keeping and unwillingness to share information is a part of our industry that has never sat right with me. I’ve seen so many talented people held back by a lack of access, when collaboration instead of competition could lift us all higher.
When I came across the Japanese concept of ikigai, the idea of living with purpose and giving back, I was challenged to build something that wasn’t self-serving and supported the music community I’m so grateful to be a part of.
I’ll be honest, I’ve procrastinated on this. Launching something new is daunting. But I believe in what this can be, and I know the conversations inside will help others the way I wish I’d been helped earlier in my career.
So here it is: THE CODES.
