Good morning! DonFaster on Friday October 3rd is fast approaching. We hope you're all fit, well and ready to race!
HOWEVER - if you are finding yourself for one reason or another unable to run, then we will be opening a transfer window next week starting on Wednesday 24th September. We'll open a post up on the race Facebook page, where you'll be able to try and find replacements if necessary.
There is lots of interest in this race, so you should be able to find someone to take your place if needs be.
Full details will go out with race and transfer details near to the 24th via email, here and on the temporary website we have set up, so please keep an eye out!

Wow, what a busy weekend our Harriers had! We're delighted with how the running community (and their families) have embraced our races, and July's is open for booking now and already 30% of places have been sold! Given how the last one sold out we'd advise early booking now to avoid disappointment!

TRANSFERS:
If you are no longer able to run, we have opened up a transfer window for you to offload your ticket. This will be open until 9pm, Wednesday 26th March.
Steps to transfer:
1. Find someone to take your place (use this post or the Facebook page to advertise your place if you need to)
2. Get them to send you their email address
3. Go to the booking website (/donfaster-5k-2025), click 'My Registrations' and enter your booking reference (in original email) and follow the instructions. The email that we'll send out later will contain a direct link to this too.
4. After you've filled in their email address and hit send, they will receive an email invitation (have them check spam if necessary) and then effectively claim the place. They will need to pay a £2.50 transfer fee during this process.
If you want reimbursing for your initial purchase, you will need to arrange that between yourselves.

Last Sunday (2nd March) saw an awesome turnout for the second race in our Club Championships this year - the North Lincolnshire Half Marathon. This proved to be very popular with the club as 50 of us took part, with a few others running the 10k. There were multiple PBs on what turned out to be perfect running conditions on a sunny Sunday morning that felt more like Spring than late winter. A great event organised by @tape2tapeuk !

As the nights are pulling in the Tuesday sessions at the track become floodlit, which means we can continue to train safely throughout the autumn/winter season. This Tuesday proved to be a tough session, and one that our resident photographer (me!) could use ahead of next Friday's DonFaster 5k to recce the best positions and see how the light will be. Plus it's always good to throw in the odd photoshopped image!
