Lionās Share is where your favorite bartender eats, an icon among those in the know. This week, Happy Half Hour hosts @heytroyjohnson and @jacqbry chat with Danny and Dante Romero, chef brothers and owners of @thelionssharesd .
One had cooked briefly at the three-Michelin-star Addison. The other rose through other kitchens, eventually overseeing a massive casino food program. Together, they were the opening chefs at Wormwood in North Park. They formed a pop-up dinner series called Two Ducks, then debuted Service Animals with cocktail guy Ian Ward, and now handle the food program at Ponyboy in Point Loma.

My friends and brothers went to your salon/barbershop to get haircuts throughout the years. You have touched the lives of countless amount of people throughout the years just by owning that business. Giving that haircut for someoneās years book picture, that haircut that gave the confidence for someone to ask that girl out, giving that haircut for someone heading to their job interview, etc.
Again, I thank you for your daughter and the way you raised her. I feel blessed getting to know you and knowing your daughter. Now you can rest.
Working in the kitchen for a full week for the first time in months has been fun. Helping out @24.suns with Chefs @webb.cooks@jakecantcook with their awesome dinner on Monday. Doing some R&D for the next project Danny and I are very soon ready to bring into the light. Helping Chefs @raelcoronado@chefjairovillalvaso doing family meal for @herbandsea on Friday. Very excited to be back in the grind and even more to be working with friends/family.
Wormwood, Wormwod, Woodworm, Warmwood the many names this place has been called. In my head Iāve just known it as my second home. From walking to the restaurant before a service to walking back to my car after the night is done, it always gave me a sense of home. Special, beautiful, inspiring are only a few words that I can use to describe Wormwood but yet I feel like any word will only limit how special this place was to me. The amount of energy this team gave to this place is unparalleled to anything Iāve experienced before. They deserved to win best new restaurant in San Diego and what ever more is to come for them. Being able to work with both my brothers and with other people Iāve worked along the way is something Iāll cherish forever. Sadly, and to be clear to those who asked if I was going to take over, Danny and I are both stepping away. Goodbye š šŖµ š§. Love you all.
Extremely proud of our team @wormwoodsd . We ended up winning Best New Restaurant in San Diego and I couldnāt be luckier than doing it with this team and with my brothers Danny and Diego. Hell of a rollercoaster ride but we all got stronger doing it. This is a moment that will be part of us for the rest of our days.
