the best advice given to me as a (solo) artist
was to not release pre maturely
and not release an album
i considered my “debut album”
if it was not my debut album,
advice given to me
by big brother
he said,
i needed to sit with composers
beat makers
musicians
producers
etc
and create from scratch,
i began to find that with my composer/producer
who passed away last year
which took me out of that creative space
for a very long time,
when will i find someone like him?
who knows….
we had sum special jams/treatz cooked up
i miss him for real,
some of us never “quit”
we just sit with ourselves
we learn to be patient with others
we learn to be patient with ourselves
we reflect,
nineteen thousand profile views
for three months straight
without releasing music
for three years and counting
