This week, we welcomed 50 incredible kids from the New Life Center out to the ballpark for a night they won’t forget. From meeting Dansby and asking their own questions, to watching Chicago Cubs batting practice, enjoying dinner, and capping it all off with a Cubs W — it was a night full of smiles, inspiration, and unforgettable memories.

This week, we had the opportunity to donate basketballs to the incredible students at Poe Elementary School in Arlington Heights. This initiative is about so much more than sports — it’s about creating opportunities, building confidence, and inspiring kids to stay active, work as a team, and dream big.
At Purpose & Calling, we believe every child deserves access to the tools that help them grow both on and off the court. Seeing the excitement on these students’ faces is exactly why we do what we do.

With brand new soccer balls and basketballs in hand, these young athletes are set up to train, play, and dream even bigger. Grateful for partnerships that invest in confidence, opportunity, and the power of sport to change lives.
This morning, the Purpose and Calling Foundation had the honor of donating and wrapping more than 300 presents for the incredible kids at LYDIA Home thanks to the generosity of @malpugh and @dansbyswanson .
LYDIA Home’s Residential Treatment Program provides a structured, therapeutic environment for foster children facing serious behavioral challenges—many of whom have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect.
For these kids, the holidays look very different than they do for most.
These gifts represent the one time each year the children can ask for items that are not necessities but items that allow them to feel comfortable, confident, and like their peers. More than anything, they are a reminder that they are seen, valued, and cared for.
We are grateful to be part of a moment that helps these children feel a little more normal, a little more hopeful, and deeply loved. Thank you to everyone who made this morning possible and showed these kids that there are good people in the world who care about them.
We can’t wait for them to be opened on Christmas Day.”
Chicago. It was a dang good year. We reached heights we haven’t gotten to in far too long. We got better, we grew, we represented what it means to be a Cub. There may have been pain in the end, but that’s what makes the triumphs sweeter when they happen. Another chapter is done, but there’s many more to be written. Thank you Wrigley!

This week, we were honored to host kids from @urbaninitiatives at the ballpark for a day full of joy, encouragement, and connection. In addition, the Foundation proudly granted $30,000 to support their incredible work and provided more than 200 soccer balls and bags to help their young athletes keep playing and dreaming big. 💙

We’re so grateful to @malpugh & @dansbyswanson for sharing their time and hearts with @luriechildrens . They recorded bedtime stories that will stay on the hospital’s in-house entertainment system, giving every child spending the night an opportunity to have a story read to them. We hope this brings a little comfort and joy during a hard time.
