Oh yeah, I forgot to say… This Sunday I’m running @cphmarathon After leading runs for the 20 week block for the @ldn_slct marathon block, it was only right I got in on the act too! After all, who does 30k runs despite having no race booked? 😅 Some goals in mind but no pressure either, let’s have fun with it! Thanks to the @nikerunning family & @valerie.frzz for the opportunity Also bumped into @adrianvarzaru never missing a single shot on a random a random Sunday, he doesn’t rest! REMEMBER THIS CASE? HERE’S WHAT I DID! It’s was to spot what might be lacking in rehab but here’s how we helped this individual. ACL rehab isn’t easy but the details truly matter! In his case we used: – Resisted knee extensions - to regain full lockout strength – Foot pedalling - to integrate that into movement – Hurdle / Ladder gait drills - to clean up walking mechanics Get the range. Own it under load. Then use it when you move. That’s how you actually return to moving properly. All it requires is breaking it down! The (Best) Worst Run! This morning I did my first long run without the @ldn_slct crew of the spring block, having led them through 20 weeks of graft & realised just like that, it’s all over. It’s wild how training blocks can fly by yet take so long It reminded me of this iconic run during the block thanks to the @nikelondon family when we enjoyed the work we’d put in The team got to run alongside British running royalty in @paula_radcliffe , she got to experience the @glussoundsystem & I got to interview her!!! (I can confirm the Auntie’s WhatsApp was going) Now as the marathon blues set in for those that tackled London’s 26.2, it makes me grateful for the ‘26 Marathon Team and the chance to lead To have led a group through the full block from the long runs down to the programming via @culturalhealthclub is no easy feat but I’m so proud I did & plenty more on the team’s accomplishments soon There is truly no greater city to train, run & race in! DO YOU SEE IT? 👀 A couple weeks back I shared this clip & you’ll be surprised how what I saw in clinic is missed. Go check if you can notice it! The key issue? Lack of terminal knee extension on the right & Here’s why we don’t want to walk with a bent knee: – Increased quad demand → higher joint stress → ↑ risk of anterior knee pain – Altered gait mechanics → load shifts elsewhere → potential compensations – Reinforces guarding → delays true recovery → harder to restore normal gait It’s not just about having the range, it’s about mastering it in weight bearing.
