Seeing David Byrne tomorrow. If you know anything about me, itâs that I am a freak for David. Talking Heads would probably be my favorite band front to back.
For Christmas last year, I bought my partner and I tickets to see him live in Kansas City.
(Nothing But) Flowers is one of our favorite songs to listen to together. I included a Pizza Hut in the background because we constantly get âThis was a PIZZA HUTâ stuck in each otherâs head.
Finally I wanted to make David a wildflower youâd see on the side of the road on the long drives through Kansas/Missouri. A little bright red poppy as the sun sets.
This Saturday, this hand painted 8x10 card will be in LA for the Artist Royale show. If youâre in the area, I canât wait for you to see this! Wanted to do my favorite blue eye/red lip combo.

This piece was made specifically for this show to celebrate loving yourself. Not to get cheesy, but self love has been such a journey, and to be in a place where you can celebrate and reward yourself is challenging. It can feel risky and selfish, but it can also feel fulfilling.
I also happen to love Valentines Day. Itâs my favorite holiday. Itâs my momâs birthday, and three days before my birthday. My mom always made this time very special for me.
