In light of International Dance Day I reflected on possibly one of the best gigs I ever booked as a dancer/ actor. A 7 year stint playing my alter ego Mr 6 of the Six Flags universe. The secrecy around playing him was intense. I would vanish for weeks and spend hours and days in prosthetic make up filming commercials, doing TV shows and making personal appearances. Sometimes even working with friends and colleagues who had NO idea who was behind the mask. I kept the secret for years and had the greatest experiences. He was loved by some and not so much by others. We agreed to let @letterman run me over with my own bus as long as I could jump up and keep on dancing! @amypoehler played me on SNL and @dianesawyer begged me to tell her who I was on Good Morning America. An epic 7 years of disappearing to lead this secret life for weeks at a time. Friends half jokingly would ask “Where do you go?” “Are you a spy? The last 3 weeks would not have been anything close to the epic triumph it was without each and every one of these beautiful and outlandishly talented souls.
