If anyone knows me - they know how hard I rep my hometown , Cleveland Ohio. When I left 15 years ago to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, it was a very abnormal thing to do back then - so my dream and goal has always been to make my city see and recognize my hard-work, accomplishments and talents.
I don’t care about how “cool” or “popular” things are, or all of these awards. What matters most to me is that people back home see that I actually did and am doing what I set out to do in 2008. A LOT and I mean A LOT of people laughed and scoffed at me leaving to be “a backup dancer” and said numerous times to me AND behind my back “see ya in 2 years after it doesn’t work out” “yah but what’s your plan when it doesn’t happen?“ “ok ya but what are you actually going to do with your life?” DEAD ASS. And trust me it still happens lol… but this little IG post from the best Cleveland account made my fucking life lol. That’s all 🤷♀️🥹 . So screw you highschool counselors, those dumb ass kids who made fun of me for not going to college and all my teachers for disowning me because of my “unconventional” path 😘 I know you follow this account hahaah

It was an honor working with Wendy Finerman, David Frankel, @abmck , @juliamichelsmusic , @krosenfelt , @annehathaway , Emily Blunt, @simoneashley & so many more iconic individuals on this legendary film. 👠
From choreography to movement directing and coaching these superstars, watching all of the department heads work on shoot days, and seeing these actors chemistry on screen and off….was a dream come true.

Not sure how to go about sharing everything that I want to share from over the years on this film. But David Lowery bringing these souls together that are going to be my sisters for life was the greatest gift.
Amongst creating this, it was soul healing and extremely cathartic for me. Ive been “Sam” (Coels character) in numerous environments with “pop stars” before this film. It was triggering at times but yet extremely needed and valuable in the creation process for David and Annie. It was wild to have actually experienced someone destroying every ounce of you with no acknowledgement or humanity, ghosting you and then trying to reap the benefits of your heart, soul and brain for as long as they can in real life and then turning it into art…
I hope you get to go and experience the film and see David’s brilliant writing, directing, editing and creation.
