Danilo trained at Scuola del Teatro San Carlo under the direction of Anna Razzi and immediately joined the company after graduation.
His repertoire at the Teatro di San Carlo includes Proust ou les intermittences du cœur by Roland Petit, the Pas de trois in Swan Lake (Ricardo Nuñez), Puck and Paris in A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Paul Chalmer, the Prince in The Nutcracker by Giuseppe Picone, and Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake in the versions by Rudolf Nureyev and *Patrice Bart.Subsequently, he performed the role of Romeo in Romeo and Juliet by Kenneth MacMillan, In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated by William Forsythe, Jean de Brienne in Raymonda by Rudolf Nureyev, and Serenade by George Balanchine.
In July 2022, he appeared as a guest dancer with the Opéra de Nice.
In December 2022, following a performance of Swan Lake choreographed by Patrice Bart, under the direction of Clotilde Vayer, he was appointed Étoile.
In 2023, he made his debut with the Fondazione Arena di Verona at the Teatro Romano, performing the role of Manolios in Zorba the Greek by Mikis Theodorakis, choreographed by Lorca Massine.
In 2023, he was awarded the “Premio Positano” as Dancer of the Year.
He later performed Basilio in Don Quixote by Rudolf Nureyev, En Sol and In the Night by Jerome Robbins, Frédéri in L’Arlésienne by Roland Petit, Onegin by John Cranko, and Albrecht in the version by Patricia Ruanne.
Alongside his permanent engagement at the Teatro di San Carlo, Danilo Notaro continues to perform internationally as a guest artist. He is represented by GCDANCEVENTS for the promotion and international dissemination of his artistic work.
