generally very hesitant to share my own music bc i feel like i'm very much just starting to find my own voice, and i don't want to waste your time - but i feel good about this thing i made last year :)

Interviewed Anthony Viti @anthony.viti who I met back in June 2025 at a free Julius Eastman show. We sat next to each other in our reserved seats, despite being surrounded by empty seats in our section and just a few people sitting behind us. Pretty sure Anthony was the one who struck up conversation with me. Or maybe it was me? I remember saying, "damn" after the first performed piece. I remember him telling me a bit about his life, the music he's into, and me telling him about 8-Ball. We exchanged emails and I proceeded to take an eternity to follow up with him. Finally, I reached out and got him to visit the 8-Ball space later in December 2025. He brought his really cute dog Monkey over and we chatted more. This conversation between us was recorded at Anthony's apartment in NYC later that month, not too long after his visit. He’s been living there for 40 years. We talk about Anthony's painting practice, living through the onset of the AIDS epidemic in the '80s, losing loved ones through it all, being involved with grassroots AIDS epidemic activism, his program where he taught kids active listening, and more. i've been working on a documentary for a little more than a year at this point - i'm titling it "When You're Rich and Gone". i spoke to several people considerably older than me, asked them about their life stories - aspirations, anxieties, fears, regrets - these are all people who identify as actors and have been working on acting careers in various capacities. i had the honor of being invited to most of their homes - to sit down with them and shoot the shit. it's currently in the editing process, being led by a friend of mine - more credit details to come. maybe this year? i'm excited to eventually announce a screening session for this <3
