Kyle Borg from @phattmusicco visited me today to let me have a look at their new Touring Series pedalboard line that he and his dad, Mike Borg, designed together. There are several Touring Series models and all components are locally manufactured and/or sourced. They can accommodate expression pedals if desired and the hinge system allows for easy access to secondary layers or utilities beneath the visible layer. Currently available from @pedalempire in QLD and Guitar Factory Gladesville in NSW, the Phatt Music Co. Touring Series are a welcome addition to quality, Australian Made music products and I wish them all the best. Thanks for the visit, Kyle!
For years, I’ve used the H9 as a do it all, Swiss army knife of a pedal. To be honest it’s hardly ever used, except for a few specific moments where I might need a harmoniser, or a quick rotary, or some sort of super trippy reverb. The most important thing for me is I know it really well so I can find those sounds quick. What’s your Swiss army knife?

I got to play one of the most extraordinary guitars yesterday. I’d never heard of them before but a company called @shabatguitars had just blown my mind. This is a Lion Deluxe. Was really hard to give back. Makes me think how many other incredible luthiers are flying under the radar? Who are some of your faves that more people need to know about?

Amidst all the stress of running a business, looking after staff, planning, designing, imagineering, and the day to day grind, I do need to remind myself, I get to do some really cool stuff. Building this board has been so much fun and such an honour 🤓🙏
