Lucinda’s with a little passing tail light reflection. 2) Now! With more reflection! (and light, on the way home). Lucinda’s is giving Doc Holliday’s a little run for the money in the “Avenue A early morning lighting” department. I may have to start wheat pasting certificates for “best of” categories. Avenue A between 10 and 11th street, East Village.

1) Water tower over Doyers Street from Pell Street, Chinatown. 2) Water tower over Jones Alley off Lafayette Street, Noho. Lafayette Street used to go from Astor Place to Great Jones Street and that was that (to keep things fancy as in John Astor lived there). To get from Lafayette Street to Bleecker you had to go down Great Jones Alley, take a left at Jones Alley, then take a right through what is now a parking lot on Bleecker. These water tower have always stood out to me.
