My newest piece and final project of 2021 :Transmission. Overlooking the landscape, a giant being emerges from the landscape with giant hands transmitting energy and light for visitors to pass through as they enter and exit the gateway of the @mojavemoonranch in the Mojave Desert just outside Joshua tree in California Made from steel and concrete with stainless steel moons in her palms adorned with dichroic mirror mosaics which change color depending on the viewing angle . This was a new experiment with mosaic and I loved how it spoke to the surreal landscape. It was an absolute gift to be able to create in such an epic location Creating something of this scale in this environment is a combination of many cosmic factors. I have been reflecting a lot lately on the role of luck in my life especially when creating something like this. Lucky to have met a visionary client such as Morgan who gave me her full trust and support. Lucky that the desert weather was so kinds to us. Lucky to have Rob and Sam to battle with me in the trenches. Lucky to have Jonx to laugh at us when shit gets real. Lucky to have Chrissy to catch us. Lucky to have had Clint from stoker construction, Alex, Jeff,  Sara, Diego Angie, and a Luke who's energy is forever embedded in this piece. Lucky to have this wonderful opportunity to create magical things in magical places. Very Lucky indeed. The artpiece is not open yet as we are currently building a viewing platform were photography and viewing can safely and respectfully take place. Kindly respect the signs. We also plan for the artwork work to be included in various annual arttours. Two years after Boom Shaman, I was invited to create Emergence (2018). The title speaks to something I’ve always felt deeply, when separate parts come together, they become something greater than they ever could alone. Nature, people, energy, connection. Built from reclaimed wood, bamboo and salvaged rope, this piece was made to feel alive and in conversation with its surroundings.
