We’re thrilled to welcome Daniel (@danielpatrickstewart ) back to Mercury Soul following his work at Grace Cathedral in 2024. He has conducted ensembles including the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Boston Symphony Orchestra, and brings a dynamic, immersive approach that makes him a natural fit for this project.

Pioneer technologist, writer, and musician Jaron Lanier returns to the Grand Theater next Friday, joined by a stellar ensemble featuring Michael Kang (@sci_official ) , Harper Simon, Haruka Fujii (@harukafujiirice ), Laura Inserra (@laura_inserra ), and Danny Stewart (@danielpatrickstewart ).
A founding father of Virtual Reality and one of Wired's most influential innovators, Lanier is known for his critical look at our digital lives. In this unique performance, he brings those ideas to the stage.
Together, the group will blend classical, jam band, and world music on a collection of rare and unusual instruments to turn Lanier's insights on technology and the future into song.
