Funny how music feels a lot like borrowed things.
This red purse? Borrowed.
The scarf on my neck? Borrowed too.
And somehow, both still felt like me.
That’s how community works, I think. A lot of who we become comes from people around us, the courage someone gave us, the advice we held onto, the love we didn’t know we needed.
Music is like that too. Every song carries pieces of people, late-night laughs, deep talks, shared pain, random joy, and moments that stay with you.
So when new music comes, it’s never just mine. It’s built from conversations, memories, and the people who poured into me. Maybe that’s the beauty of it, borrowed things, borrowed moments, borrowed love… turning into something that feels like home. And somehow, a song can do that too.
