Growing up in LA, I always identified as an outlier and an individual who was unafraid to make grandiose statements with how I dressed or make my voice heard on issues that went against the grain of modern-day perceptions. I always aligned myself with friends and a loyal community of artists who weren’t afraid to “rage against the machine.” Being featured as Our Era Magazine’s Digital Cover Star for March 2023, has been indescribable and affirming to feel so seen as well as witness how my principles on fashion, self-expression and creating equity in such a divisive industry still remain true to this day. Independent and emerging brands are the future of fashion. Reclaiming one’s true sense of individuality is the future of fashion. Barring against capitalism, fast fashion, corruption, and human exploitation is the future of fashion. Stay true to yourself, always and forever. Thank you to the incredible @digitalsmeg for being so willing to create magical art with Our Era. Thank you @hairbymariah11 & @facesbydanii for your beautiful and badass hair and makeup skills. A HUGE thank you to @ann.lawlor and @blondeandconyc for letting us use your beautiful studio. And to @wisandgra for your beautiful design skills. Most importantly, thank you to my forever little sister @ilovelucyivey for believing in me and never letting me dim my light🦋💖💕💕✨✨ Read on oureramag.com and via the bio link🐕🐕‍🦺💘🌟✨✨✨✨
