You don’t always get a clear sign that you’re doing the right thing.
A lot of the time, you pour in effort and hope it will pay off, but progress is often hard to measure.
What helps me is knowing that every time I show up, I’m moving closer to where I want to be. It also helps to have fun and keep smiling whilst I’m doing it ☺️

I had the absolute pleasure of delivering a ‘You Can’t Say That!’ workshop to the British Transport Police with @iammatthewsstory as part of their LGBT+ History Month programme.
The workshop explores the fears many of us carry about talking about identity, like the worry of saying the wrong thing, causing offence or not knowing enough, and offers practical tools to help us have braver conversations. The reality is that avoiding the conversation doesn’t build inclusion: learning how to navigate it does.
I always love delivering alongside Matthew. It’s dynamic, thought-provoking and genuinely engaging. Every so often you get to work with someone who is just brilliant at what they do and he’s one of those people.

As someone who only learned to enjoy sports as an adult (i absolutely hated PE at school 😅) this book is super valuable & empowering resource, challenging the negative ideas around sport that so many of us grew up with... i really think it will help to create a more positive, inclusive and confidence-building view of movement for young folks growing-up today.
