Brensinger is building on a previous series where she translated her grandmother’s doilies into glass, and is creating intricate lace-inspired murrine patterns to incorporate into physical domestic objects that would interact with those doilies in her grandmother’s kitchen.
“These works are less about replication and more about translation – how pattern becomes memory, how glass becomes a record of the body’s remembering,” Brensinger shared. “This proposal is an extension of that rhythm: an offering to the team, and a record of what happens when individual gestures—learned in kitchens, studios, and families—merge into a shared act of making.”

Brensinger is a contemporary glass artist, instructor, and fabricator whose work investigates craft, form, and narrative through glass and mixed media. She earned her BFA in Glass from Tyler School of Art at Temple University in 2012 and completed her MFA at California State University, San Bernardino, in 2023.
Her work traces the rhythms and gestures of making, drawing on patterns of labor and care that echo across generations. Through glass, she explores repetition, variation, and the subtle language of process, revealing the connections between material, maker, and memory. Based in Los Angeles, she co-runs Second Best Studio, producing work for artists and designers while advancing her own practice.
