A list of things I learned through exploration these past few months:
• 95% of Biscayne National Park is underwater.
• In 1992, Hurricane Andrew left more than 250,000 residents homeless. One of the main cities that was hit, Homestead, FL, still hasn't fully recovered after almost 3 decades.
• Rivera Beach, FL has a memorial called SugarHill Cemetery, that served as a burial ground for black people during early 1900s segregation from white burial grounds.
•I really enjoy a good sailboat sighting.
