A stylist I’ve worked with before reached out again, and I already knew something strong was about to come to life. What makes this project truly special to me is seeing a piece I designed in 2020 — the Cruella top — placed into a completely new context. I love when a design doesn’t just last, but evolves — gaining new meaning through new eyes and new stories. During BCEFW SS26, beyond hosting my own event, I had the honor of participating in the Surreal Gala organized by @madoramanagement & @allkindsofcrazycolors – an evening dedicated to disconnecting from reality and stepping into a dreamlike world. As someone whose design language is rooted in surrealist aesthetics, saying yes to this invitation was a no-brainer. It was an absolute joy to see my pieces come to life on the runway alongside a perfectly curated atmosphere that included not only a fashion show but also a mesmerizing dance performance and thematic decor that fully immersed the audience. This was one of my favorite side events of the past seasons, and I am deeply grateful to have been part of it. 🤍🪽🩹𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐏𝐕𝐒 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐒 – 𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐌𝐀🤍🪽🩹 • Latin origin: anima = soul, breath of life • Conceptual layer: The essence released from the body — the final layer. The soul beyond matter; consciousness, feeling, and memory, where pain and struggle no longer exist. ANIMA is the allegory of post-mortem peace. ANIMA, the closing look of the collection, represents the body’s final shell — the spirit detaching from matter. The ensemble consists of a glossy white latex-style jersey full-body suit segmented by autopsy-inspired seam lines. These delicate lines symbolize the body’s final revelation, as if the soul were seeping through the fractures of matter. At the chest, where the heart rests, a white rose blooms — a metaphor for the soul’s place and the fading echo of life. Around the pelvis, a skeletal structure formed from rose petals appears — decay and beauty intertwined. The most dramatic element is a monumental translucent coat made of crisp glossy plastic, reflecting the cold reality of a body bag. Light reflections suspend the look between sterile realism and spirituality — as if existing in a liminal space between life and death. ANIMA is the garment of reconciliation and release — the poetic liberation of the soul.
