It has been an honour taking this epic journey around Ghana, snaking along meandering rivers from the thick green forests of the south to the burnt-amber earth of the north. Ghana unravels slowly, and rewards patience with extraordinary beauty. From the surf at Busua to moments of stillness along the Volta, and the spontaneous thrill of Lake Bosomtwe, the story reflects a country that feels both deeply grounded and constantly evolving.
It was a privilege to work alongside the brilliant writer @niiayikweiparkes , and I’m deeply grateful to the editorial team at Condé Nast Traveller, especially @lydiaelizabethbell and @mattbuckphoto for their trust and vision in bringing this story to life.

Standing since 1875, the lighthouse marks where the Greenwich Meridian kisses the West African coast before disappearing to the endless blue. Guiding ships for nearly 150 years at the edge of coast.
