Descending down from #makalubasecamp - constant drizzle didn't make it any easier - got soaking wet and shivering. Big day tomorrow - three passes over 4200m. and we should roll over to another valley. Looking forward to some sun and bananas!
The morning hike ended with a ~1000 m. ascent to 5700 m. from where it is incredible to see 3 peaks over 8000 m. in one place #everest, #lhotse and #makalu

After a week of trekking through beautiful views, navigating bad weather, and living in ascetic conditions, we have finally reached our destination: #makalubasecamp. It is an amazing feeling to stand at the foot of Makalu, the fifth-highest mountain in the world at 8,485 meters.
Šiandien apie 8 ryto (Lietuvos laiku) trys vidurio amžiaus lietuviai pasiekė Makalu bazinę stovyklą ir, dėl vidinės ramybės, dar užsikabarojo ant bevardžio šlaito iki 5750 m.
Dabar – nusileisti (kas, pasirodo, irgi veikla) ir kelios ramios dienos Katmandu.
Įspūdžių tiek, kad teks vaidinti režisierių – prisifilmavau video žurnalui, kurį (teoriškai) sumontuosiu grįžęs.
P.S. Taip, pernykštis video vis dar egzistuoja tik mano galvoje. Viešai pasižadu – šįkart jis bus pirmas. Su paaiškinimais, kodėl viskas gavosi… dvasingai chaotiškai.
