We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Daniel Hogan @danielhoganconductor as our new Musical Director. His first concert in this new role will take place in November 2025.
Daniel Hogan is a young British conducting talent beginning to establish himself on the international music scene. He has been recognised across the profession as a conductor with enormous potential; a reputation for musical knowledge and musicianship, combined with an empathetic and personable leadership style.
Past highlights have included conducting the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in an Emerging Conductors Showcaseconcert in June 2023, and conducting the London Philharmonic Orchestra, in a side-by-side project with the Royal Academy of Music. In concert, Daniel has also conducted the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra in Olomouc, Czechia, and the Baltic Sea Philharmonic in Tallinn, Estonia and the Järvi Academy Youth Orchestra in Pärnu.
Other projects in the 2024/2025 season include assisting at the Poznan Opera Orchestra, assisting at Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra for a performance of Messiaen’s Turangalîla-Symphonie, and conducting debuts with the Oxford University Orchestra, University of London Symphony Orchestra and Gli Amici della Musica Orchestra in France.

Happy faces after performing Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.2 with @danielhoganconductor conducting @chorleywoodmusic last Sunday, a special concert commemorating the life of Daniel’s father Tim Hogan. This performance was for the Final Exam of my Artist Diploma from the Royal Academy, and I’m overjoyed to share I got a Distinction! It’s a scary feeling leaving education and finding your way in this profession, but I know I’ll be happy as long as I can still have amazing nights like this, playing stunning music with lovely people 😊
