I'm very happy to announce my brand new solo folk project today, called @braefarer .
To kick things off, I've recorded a debut single called 'Into a Dream', which is already available for listening (link in the Braefarer profile). It's a tranquil tune, featuring myself on acoustic guitar, fretless bass, and vocals, giving a gentle introduction of what's to come for the project.
As this is day one, any assistance in getting things off the ground is especially appreciated, whether that's following the new socials, sharing, or simply taking the time to check out the song. If you really want to go above and beyond, I've got a small amount of merch available for pre-order at the aforementioned link, which I can start sending out in a couple of weeks.
Big thanks to James Dunkley (@smellslikejames ) for mixing and mastering 'Into a Dream'.

Believe or not, this place was a massive malleable iron plant until 2007. It now makes for a pleasant wander, with a plethora of birdlife, just 10 minutes' walk from today's venue.
See us tonight at The Vault in Saginaw!
Here's a clip from my first ever live performance as Braefarer, taken at Sleazy's in Glasgow last month.
This is a snippet from a brand new song called 'The Future Fades', which is ready for recording once I get back from tour.
The old-school camcorder footage was taken by @fraser_gig_photos , and I mixed in the desk audio, which was kindly provided by @scottsound54 .

We're playing @sonictemplefestival this evening, sharing the stage with some heavy hitters on the Altar Stage. Looking forward to seeing Napalm Death in particular!

Fitting in some frantic tourism today, walking from the Lincoln Memorial (which was amazing) along to the Capitol Building via the Washington Monument, then finally along to the White House (which was a bit of a building site). It was actually quite emotional seeing the Lincoln Memorial and reading the fine sentiments written there.

We're almost halfway through our US tour, which has been going swimmingly so far. Today was a very chilled out day off, involving little more for me than food shopping, gym, and reading. A sharp contrast to this scene from Rockville the other day! Next up is Washington D.C.

Mostly hiding on the bus today at @welcometorockville to stay out of the heat, which is a lot for this Scot to take! I did catch the majority of Immolation's set though, which was as crushing as ever.
This photo is actually from a couple of days ago, but shout out to @hallehorror for doing our make-up for the last few shows! Almost time to get frosted up for tonight.

It's been a nice day off here in Corpus Christi, following on from a very fun show in Fort Worth last night.
Today I've been occupying myself with a gym session, an excellent thai meal with some of the tour buddies, and finally a bit of lounging by the beach reading. Not to mention some serious napping! I'm a little surprised at how much two performances have worn me out, but I guess it's been a while, and the last vestiges of jetlag might still remain.
Tomorrow we play Crush the Coast fest in this very town!
