A decade ago
@evanburns came home from a trip to Finland. He had been out and asked for a tequila. The response- “nope. All we drink is Long Drink.” It tasted like Fresca. And it didn’t exist in America. Ev, Mik, Ere and Saki wanted to make it happen.
@longdrink was born!
Importing was the initial plan, but taxes made that non viable. So they reverse engineered the recipe, we sampled (see 2018 bottles!) and launched, with regular events in our shared West Village townhouse.
Over the following years, amazing investors and talent joined. From miles teller (
@keleighteller to
@kygomusic and Ricky Fowler and the
@palmtreecrew , to
@jayz and beyond. But at the core, this was a “family” business, backed by many of our best friends.
Ev has had an insane work ethic since day 1, continuing to prove it as he runs multiple 9 figure businesses. After 8ish years, it’s been wild to see this go from our house to the rest of the world. And today, to an amazing exit by the owners of
@whiteclaw to grow us even further.
