Making its global debut, the Dave Mirra Best Trick takes place tomorrow at @fiseworld in Montpellier, France where one rider will take home the coveted gold pedals designed for this event by @mike_laird 🙌
The winner will also earn bragging rights with this helmet sticker pack as the start of a collection of more Dave Mirra Best Trick events in the future.
Dave had a global impact on BMX, and the goal of the Dave Mirra Foundation and the Mirra Best Trick is to celebrate the legend keeping his legacy alive for young riders who may not know his impact, help others who might be struggling and to keep progressing the sport like Dave did. 💜

EL TALENTO DE SUCRE NO SE DETIENE, PERO NECESITA APOYO! 🚲🔥
Hoy alzamos la voz en nombre del BMX Freestyle de Sucre. Ante la falta de un lugar digno para practicar nuestra disciplina, los atletas y entrenadores nos vimos en la necesidad de apoderarnos de un espacio y, con nuestras propias manos, empezar a construir lo que el Estado aún no nos ha brindado.
Con pico, pala y mucho esfuerzo, ya logramos levantar el primer salto con su partidor, No es solo un montón de tierra; es el sueño de más de 15 atletas y preparadores que día a día se exigen al máximo. Entre nosotros contamos con atletas clasificados @ariaellocodos@samirsanchez que tienen el compromiso de representar a nuestro estado y dejar el nombre de Sucre en lo más alto, pero ¿cómo podemos competir al nivel nacional si no tenemos dónde entrenar de forma segura?
Hacemos un llamado público y respetuoso a la Ministra @gobernadorajhoannacarrillo , y a las autoridades deportivas:
Necesitamos un espacio adecuado, una pista con las condiciones técnicas necesarias para que nuestros chamos clasificados y las nuevas generaciones puedan pulir su talento sin poner en riesgo su integridad física. Nosotros ya dimos el primer paso demostrando que tenemos la voluntad; ahora necesitamos que el gobierno regional se sume a este proyecto.
¡El BMX de Sucre está listo para brillar, solo necesitamos las herramientas!

“Seeing the Dave Mirra Best Trick debut on a stage like FISE is a perfect way to honor Dave’s legacy of progression and his quest for pushing boundaries,” said legend skateboarder and Dave Mirra Foundation board member, Tony Hawk. “Dave Mirra inspired all of us, and bringing his spirit to this event gives the next generation a glimpse of who Dave Mirra was and his global impact on action sports. It also raises awareness to the incredible work of the Dave Mirra Foundation, where getting kids on bikes and advocating for good health - both physically and mentally - is a priority.”
