This methodology took co-creation to another level. We anchored it in three core beliefs: ☝🏽Great ideas start with great people. ✌🏽If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video and story are worth a thousand decks. 🤙🏽 And a prototype is worth a thousand meetings. Over the past six months we partnered with New Balance’s Moonshot team to bring an idea we’ve dreamed about since starting COMN four years ago to life. Together with our partners at Laceless, we moved from insight → idea → prototype. In the field with athletes shaping the culture of their sport, bringing 180 collective years of playing, coaching, and creative experience, and keeping them involved throughout the entire creative process. What started as conversations and lived experience turned into 50+ raw ideas, dozens of opportunity territories, and early proof prototypes around three core concepts, designed to fuel their innovation pipeline for seasons to come with insights, ideas, and enablers. Grateful to play a part in helping turn real voices into what’s next. A huge shout out to Osamase, Maria and the whole Moonshot team for the trust, to Dan and the Laceless team for such amazing concepts, and all the hard work that went into this project 🙏🏼

This has been more than a university project - it’s been a journey. From learning FDM printing to countless hours of sketching, from my first prototypes to long Blender sessions, feedback rounds, and presentations - every step shaped YUMA into what it is today. I’ve been incredibly lucky to have people around me who pushed, challenged, and inspired me along the way. Treating a tear in the soleus muscle can be really painful, and tender 🥴 BUT it’s very important… The soleus plays a huge role in planter and Dorsi flexion in the lower limb allowing you to bend the foot and step off the toe to heel when walking / runnning. If you have a strain or a tear, it’s highly painful to be active.
