Is there beauty in the testing? IMO struggles, and difficult situations are not merely obstacles to be endured, but necessary processes that refine, strengthen, and reveal your purpose here. But If I’m wrong let me know. What do you think? #wrappedup #newmusicfriday #indiemusic #overcome

This is exactly what these sessions feel like šŸ¤ Now booking petite motherhood sessions. Limited spots available. As mothers, we are usually the ones behind the camera, documenting every milestone. But your children want to remember you there with them! I want to help you capture it all: the laughter, the chaos, the tenderness… Gift yourself the luxury of being truly seen. šŸ¤ Mother’s Day booking open next week! #motherhood #chicagofamilyphotographer #indianafamilyphotographer #happymothersday #momlife

ā€œCome Downā€ - is available now. I didn’t think it would take me 5 years to process the loss of a friend, but you never choose how grief can hit you. All I know is I miss you like crazy homie and I think you would have dug the drums on this one

God gives us certain moments where He reminds us that where we are is exactly where we’re supposed to be and, more importantly, where He has placed us. . It was after the second writing session of the day, and things were winding down. The team’s faces were glazed over with writing fatigue, and we were all just ready for dinner. But the Lord gave me a clear direction: go sit on a desk next to the door and start worshiping…but not to sing a word. I thought it was weird, but that’s what I did. . Over comes Payton, tears already working their way out, carrying this quiet sense of trust that she was sensing the same Spirit in the room. . There’s a sacredness in the air that exists between writers. In that space, you can always read more than words ever could. You can’t hide tension, insecurity, or a lack of mutual love and respect. Payton has become one of the people I trust in that space the most. You will always be a little sister to me, but I hope you know how much I appreciate you as a wise woman of God. I’m convinced that many of the songs on this record wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the way you shepherd a writing room. You treat it like a battle ground. Don’t ever lose that. . So back to the song… She begins to sing, and we both look across the room and start sobbing like two church kids at their first youth camp. . Only the Lord knows if something more will come of this song. As a wiser songwriter once taught me, ā€œYour job is to build boats. The Holy Spirit will blow the wind in the sails, but you never know which boat it will be, or if any will sail at all. Your responsibility is simply to build boats.ā€ . So if the Lord blows wind into the sails of this song, we obviously welcome that. But if He doesn’t, I can still hold firmly to the promises of Jesus and His reminder to me and my team at last year’s writing retreat: . Some writes feel like work. Some writes feel like pressure. Some writes feel healthy and fruitful. And some writes feel like the Spirit of God is breathing on you, and all you can do is bear witness to what He’s doing. . This was that kind of write. Like a smile from the King
